Cattle

Cattle (called cows in vernacular usage) are domesticated ungulates, a member of the subfamily Bovinae of the family Bovidae.

They are raised as livestock for meat (called beef and veal), dairy products (milk), leather and as draught animals (pulling carts, plows and the like).

The scientists say that harnessing cow power on an industrial scale could create a new form of sustainable energy while also reducing the carbon footprint produced by cattle ranches. AFP (July 2, 2013) Around 500 tonnes of fish were killed by the spill of molasses from a factory of cattle food upstream into the lagoon of the Hurtado dam in Acatlan de Juarez, state of Jalisco, north Mexico. Fishermen collected dead fish piled in the banks of the lagoon on July 1, 2013.
