The hi-tech approach to communication is modeled on a system used successfully with autistic children. Buzz60 (May 14, 2013) — Researchers from three United Kingdom institutions say that plants can communicate through underground connections of fungi. Scientists say they do this in an attempt to ward off pests like aphids. Apparently plants are quite chatty, because another recent study says plants also communicate through the air.
