Xinhua News Agency (Nov. 20, 2012) — Russian cosmonaut Yury Malenchenko has returned to Moscow, after spending three months in a mission aboard the International Space Station. Malenchenko, along with a US astronaut and a Japanese astronaut, returned to Earth early on Monday, landing in a steppe in Kazakhstan.

NASA (June 17, 2013) — During a Google+ Hangout NASA announced its newest class of astronaut trainees. The eight candidates selected to the 2013 astronaut class were chosen from a pool of 63-hundred applications -- the second largest NASA has ever received.
