Tourists will soon be able to view the retired US space shuttle Atlantis, which is part of a new $100-million exhibit at NASA's center in Cape Canaveral, Fla. CBC's David Common talks to astronauts with ties to the shuttle program and gets a preview of the exhibit, which includes a replica of the Canadarm.

In the suburb area of Los Angeles, the giant space shuttle is greeted with a welcome atmosphere as it inches through the city towards its new home at a local museum. Many residents walked more than a mile to the area where the giant space shuttle was parked.
