The Brookfield Zoo welcomed its latest addition, a baby giraffe, on June 21. The 173-pound calf started walking soon after birth and made its public debut Tuesday.

Rumble (Jan. 15, 2015) — Melmin the baby giraffe was rescued from a game reserve after her mother gave birth but then rejected her. It took a week for her to learn how to drink from a bottle, but eventually she caught on. Melmin is now very sweet and loves giving everyone lots of kisses.
