The space machine is designed to take suborbital flights, zooming passengers on short space adventures. On its most recent flight, the spaceship flew under rocket power for 4 seconds longer than ever before reaching an altitude of 69,000 feet. Over 600 people have signed up to be the first to take a ride, but the company still needs approval from the FAA to take passengers into space. Krysitn Goodwin has the story.

NASA (July 26, 2013) — During a test of NASA's Human Exploration Telerobotics Project, astronaut Luca Parmitano, aboard the International Space Station remotely controlled a robotic planetary rover, called K-10 across the terrain at Ames Research Centers Roverscape. The project is a demonstration of how astronauts in space can control robots on the ground for future exploration missions.
