Chemistry researchers at the University of Illinois at Chicago have found a new way of performing a widely used chemical conversion process that may have practical application in the pharmaceutical industry, among others. UIC Distinguished Professor of organic chemistry David Crich, along with graduate student Santhosh Neelamkavil, initially published their findings July 3 on the Web version of the Journal of the American Chemical Society.
