Coffee is a beverage, usually hot, prepared from the roasted seeds of the coffee plant.

These seeds are usually called coffee beans, although they are not technically beans.

Coffee beans from two different places usually have distinctive characteristics such as flavor, caffeine content, body or mouthfeel, and acidity.
